The following websites have searchable directories to enable you to find a healthcare practitioner in their field.
Please note that these will almost always be for private appointments and that you should properly research any healthcare practitioner before being treated by them.
The BACP directory allows you to search for a therapist by both location and special interests (e.g. health related issues, bereavement). All those listed are members of a professional body and are either Accredited BACP members or have provided proof of their qualifications.
Search for a counsellor or psychotherapist near you. Counselling Directory only lists counsellors and psychotherapists who are registered with a recognised professional body or those who have provided copies of their qualifications and insurance cover.
Hypnotherapy Directory only lists qualified/registered Hypnotherapists.
The CSP's Physio2U directory can be used to find a chartered physiotherapist offering private treatment services and can be searched by both location and specialist area (e.g. pain management or msculoskeletal).
