How we are regulated

FibroAction (registered charity number 1125957) has five groups of people who have a say in how the charity is run:

Friends of FibroAction

The Friends of FibroAction are people from across the UK and around the world who want to support FibroAction in its work, help raise awareness of Fibromyalgia Syndrome (Fibro) and get access to more information and offers.

Our volunteers

Our volunteers are a mix of sufferers and supporters who want to get involved with the work FibroAction is doing. If you are interested in learning more about volunteering for FibroAction, email us!

Our Professional Advisory Board

Our Professional Advisory Board (PAB) consists of experts in their own fields who have an interest in Fibromyalgia Syndrome (Fibro), and who advise FibroAction's board of trustees. FibroAction's PAB is largely made up of professionals from the worlds of medicine, research and pharmacology, but individuals from other fields would also be welcome in the PAB. Currently the FibroAction PAB includes some of the world's top experts in Fibro.

Our Council of Members

Our Council of Members holds the board of trustees of FibroAction to account. Council members are individuals or organisations who have either made a significant contribution to FibroAction's aims or who, through virtue of their skills, experience and enthusiasm, are likely to make a significant contribution to FibroAction's aims in the future. Council members have the right to vote at General Meetings of FibroAction. If you would like to suggest an individual or organisation (such as a support group) for membership of FibroAction's Council of Members, but you do not know any current Council Members, please contact FibroAction.

Our Trustees

Our board of trustees are responsible for overseeing the direction of the charity and making sure it works towards achieving its aims. FibroAction's board of trustees is also its board of directors.
