Updated information on an Alert about price changes for Alpha-Stim devices
Post Edited 11 Sept 2012
FibroAction were sent an alert about a forthcoming price rise for the Alpha-Stim device but have since received updated information.
FibroAction do not recommend this or any other device - this is provided for your information only.
Updated Message from Linda Horncastle, Co-ordinator of the South Bucks Fibromyalgia Support Group:
I am pleased to say I have now been informed by the UK supplier of the Alpha-Stim that the price is now not going to increase as much as first feared. Steve Hutchinson is fighting very hard on our behalf to get as small an increase as possible on the new models. He understands many of us with fibromyalgia are on benefits and is going to make various payment offers so that the majority of us can afford it. In the meantime the old models will be available for a limited period.
More information can be obtained from the UK suppliers web site www.themicrocurrentsite.co.uk
I suggest your members look at the clinic list to see if there is a practitioner locally, but please make sure they offer to hire out both the AS-100 and SCS devices, so they can be tried before considering buying one. A special discount price for those with Fibromyalgia can be obtained through me but they are welcome to buy via the suppliers web site, my only advice is to remember to ask for VAT relief. You can find specific advice for those with Fibromyalgia on my web site www.microtherapyclinic.com
The Alpha-Stim will not help everyone with Fibromyalgia. In an informal study with the South Bucks Fibromyalgia Support Group 18 members (with FM and CFS) tried the Alpha-Stim and 15 found they had improvement in their symptoms. Click here for the study write-up.
